TBN: Super Hyped Products- Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream Review
I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, there's no fun in it; but because this review was often requested in the past year, here goes (warning: this will be VERY brief).
'Augustinus Bader' is arguably the most over-hyped skincare range in recent years. It was developed by stem cell scientist Dr. Augustinus Bader, who developed a patented formula called Trigger Factor Complex (TFC8). It is described as prompting your skin cells to renew faster, which not only works wonders for the appearance of your skin, but also delays aging.
I have been testing the Augustinus Bader cream daily and I don't see evidence of those claims anywhere on my own face. I'm sure there's sound science behind it but it does nothing for me. As in, nothing other than moisturise- which is not saying much for 300 euros. I am a fairly experienced and educated skincare consumer. This is not for me. After 3 weeks of use, I'm calling this off. I'm not even using the rest of the bottle; I'll save it for travelling because I can't wait to get back to my more potent moisturisers like the Lixirskin Universal Emulsion (You want to real cell renewal in action? Try the Lixir Emulsion on cracked or chapped lips and leave it overnight. That's results. You're welcome). To clarify, I have been using the Rich version of the product and have found it just oily, not deeply hudrating.
