TBN: Beauty Tools Edition- Fancii Makeup Mirror Review
I've always liked to do my makeup in front of a window, in the daylight. With this dismal weather though, for the past few months there was hardly any light coming through in the mornings. The regular, ceiling lighting of my bedroom is completely unsuitable for the task. I decided to get one of those fold-out makeup mirrors from www.amazon.co.uk. I always rely on consumer reviews and this was highly recommended. The Fancii Tri-Fold Mirror is available to buy here: https://bit.ly/2t3jgl1
I found the price, at £26.99, very reasonable, so I went ahead. It arrived three days later, a remarkable feat for rural Greece. When I first lit it, I was disappointed. Compared to the beautiful daylight I am used to, this seemed sterile and artificial. Also, in the right, fold-out section, where there are two magnifying pannels, I was horrified to discover my face has flaws I never suspected. My main concern was my lifelong principle of applying my makeup: if you intend to wear your makeup in the day, you apply it in daylight, if it's meant for the night time, you apply it in artificial lighting. My theory was evidence-based, it wasn't superstition: I had noticed that with artificial light, I overapplied my makeup and my face looked very harsh in the sunlight.
I needn't have worried. This is no ordinary artificial light. From the very first application (although I still didn't enjoy the process as much as with daylight), I noticed that the end result, out in broad daylight, was not more intense. It was simply more flawless- and that's never a minus. Obviously, the lights in this mirror are especially formulated to help you see and perform better. I pluck my eyebrows so easily in the magnifying panels- also the case with mascara application. The singular genius thing about this, though- and this is my own soft spot- is the GLORIOUSLY easy, perfect feline flick I can achieve with my eyeliner. This is a whole new ballgame.I now prefer this to daylight. You can adjust the light to your liking, but I always use the brightest setting.
