TBN: Fabulous Concealers Edition: Too Faced and Fenty Reviews
It was a good week for me and beauty, especially the trickiest beauty product of all (along with mascara): the under-eye concealer. Concealers have been my nemesis. Most are too runny, others too thick, too cakey, too creasy, too wrong. Then, rarely, you'll find one that does the job well. This week, I found two that I absolutely LOVED.
The first one is the Too Faced 'Born This Way'. This is around the 30 euros mark, full price (although you can often find it discounted, usually at 24 euros). I have fallen in love: this is so creamy and smooth, a dream to apply with fingers or brush. It lights up the entire face (I absolutely understand why they describe it as multi-use, this can create contour and is as stable as foundation). This is a full coverage product which stays put all day and doesn't fall apart or crack. An important note: This contains 15 ml, more than double the usual quantity of all other luxury concealers, at the same price. I appreciate that. It is available to buy here: https://bit.ly/2FDrtVy
The second product is the Fenty PRO FILT'R Instant Retouch Primer. This was also an amazing performer around my eyes. This has a more lightweight formula than the Too Faced one, but is also high coverage and gives you an ethereal light where you apply. It lasted all day with no creasing. I would call this a lighter product in general, you get a fresher finish that resembles a traditional illuminating concealer more than the Too Faced one that is more heavy-duty. When all is said and done, the Too Faced won for me: I adored this just as much but for the same price you get half the product than the Too Faced. That matters to me- sorry not sorry. This is widely available at Sephora stores.
