TBN: Great Lashes Edition- L'Oréal Unlimited Mascara Review
Updated: Apr 18, 2019
Like one of my skin heros, Nadine Baggott, says, I love a stripper lash. I want mega volume, length, curl, hold, longevity. I love a va-va-voom lash, for day or night, casual or elaborate looks. I had signature mascaras that I exclusively wore for years: YSL Effet Faux Cils, Dior's Diorshow, Mac's In Extreme Dimension 3D, and then for the past year, Maybelline's Lash Sensational, which gives you monumental lashes with a completely separated, natural look. I thought none could ever top it. Then Nadine featured this as this year's revelation and of course, I had to try it.
It's all she described and more. Be careful; this is no natural finish mascara, though. This is a full fake-flutter, total stripper lash. On stripper heels. On its way to the show.
Make sure to carefully wipe off all excess on a tissue. Then, do it again; it's nuclear otherwise and you'll have to correct the surplus . It really shows up from the first swipe. It dries in a reasonable timeframe and stays in place. Zero eye irritation, zero flaking, zero transfer. It does droop very slightly at the very ends of the eye by the end of the day, but I'm splitting hairs here. Unlimited is a great performer and I highly recommend it if you want the biggest lashes possible.
It won't replace my Maybelline one, because I love its sophisticated finish. How do I feel about Unlimited after days of use? It's right on the line, slightly OTT. But I will buy it again, it's such a powerhouse (maybe even combine the two). Good call Nadine.
